Dual nationality: Dr Asim Hussain resigns from Senate

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain resigned from Senate on Tuesday, Express News reported.

According to Saama.tv, Hussain resigned because of his dual nationality.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had asked the Interior Ministry to verify the names of dual national lawmakers. The list included Hussain’s name.

The apex court had also deemed 11 parliamentarians disqualified for holding dual nationalities.

Shameful as it maybe,
This man has made BILLIONS allowing petroleum vendors exploit general public.
Once he had enough, he spit on the face of Pakistan, and decided to go with his other nationality.

Further evidence that he has no intent of serving the nation, just looting and filling pockets. This government is at-least doing some good moves. He prefers serving his homeland over preserving his foreign citizenship. People like these cannot be trust worthy or loyal. Some actions should also be taken against those who are 100% foreign citizens but taking part in local politics.
