Driverless Taxis to Hit Japan in 2016

With the way taxis are usually driven all around the world, Driver(Less) would be very welcome. Should be interesting to see Japan with autonomous taxis. Wouldn't such cars eventually rob people of their jobs? Taxi Driver? Frankly I'm a little off on robotics. They're cool and all, but they can't replace humans..

Accidents of these driverless cars cant be avoided. I think what they are actually doing is that they are crunching some numbers and calculating the probability of a driverless car having an accident. As soon as this probability reduces below the probability of accident by a random driver, in light of continuing improvements, they will introduce the car in the market.

Actually.. Imagine a world or a city where all the cars are driverless. In that particular scenario, accidents will not accident.. Unless of course there is a mechanical failure.. Which is unavoidable of course.
