There are no sleeper cells man, not to the extent we think of. First of all we have to acknowledge that there is a significant home grown portion of the terror we are facing today. Not all comes from Pakistan. Secondly there are huge sprawling ghettos in almost every major city that willingly or unwillingly act as a safe haven for jihadists of all hues. The police know it but they dont venture in because any mistake can be easily made into a 'police persecuting the innocent minority' plank and the police castigated for that. I know of a ghetto in Delhi where the electric bill collectors have not ventured in for close than 4 years for collecting the due electric bills ! Such is the pathetic state of politics in India.

Lot's of international terrorist organizations have local contacts and they keep cultivating them, the most radical preachings happen in Mosques and Madarsa's in India where the mullah's act as conduits to a number of terrorist organizations and cultivate their Mosque going population. All cities have Muslim Ghettos and a lot of radicalization and illegal activities happen in these ghettos. One positive aspect for India is the Indian Muslim population is fairly dispersed all over the country. Mumbai is in serious danger of Islamic terror as it becomes a target every time and Mumbai has the maximum Islamic extremists, down south the radicals are fairly dispersed and work as supporters. I think an example of extremist cleansing has to start from Mumbai and then followed on in UP, Bihar and Delhi.

How is it insensitive !!! India does have a muslim population as large or larger than that of pakistan . Hindu terrorism is very easy to identify but Muslims ones are not ....
the reason is simple ,Most hindu religious sites,temples and structures are controlled by the government but incase of Muslims its the waqf boards and jamaats.....hence the monitoring them all of them is difficult.

the number of mosques/madrassa that indoctrinates hatred is unknown...some are found only when it comes under police radar for terrorist links ....

Guys let's cool it down and wait for more info to emerge. The true picture hasn't emerged yet and we don't know the exact nature of those arrested ie they could be low-level fundraising types or could have inadvertently caught the attention of the police. And anyway the DRDO connection is irrelevant the why it is being painted makes out he is one of the 40,000+ thousand workers at DRDO and not one of the 10,000+ scientists so any possible security breech implications are minimal if any. He could be a cleaner at DRDO for all we know.

I have been on this forum for quite long time and I have discovered one thing after reading the post from Indian members that the MOST NAIVE AND INNOCENT NATION IN THIS world are HINDUS. they just do nothing wrong.if something happens in india it is always from muslim society .But my this discovery makes me think about Mr. Bal Thakrey that he must not be a Hindu.

But we know and the police know they are present in the ghettos. But we wont act ? Why ? People may say its the pseudo-secularism of the political parties. It might be true..but actually what encourages the parties to do that and get away with that ? The innate political correctness and the 'worldview' we have. We need to change that. Parties just appeal to our baser instincts about 'secularism', 'tolerance' etc and we melt like sugar in mouth. We should become politically and socially aware of the danger that is impending and we dont get carried away with all the sloganeering of fake secularism, bhaichara etc and try to face the evils for what they are and not what think they are. Only if we change, the govts change. And only if Govts change can this whole damn thing change.
