Bad times have come for the DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organization). Top scientists are leaving their work spots and instead heading to the IT sector where they are offered a much better pay and job conditions. As many as 20 top scientists have resigned in the past six months leaving DRDO to find a way to retain its employees.
The best scientists are now focusing on the private IT sector. The companies involved in this sector are on a hiring spree and many of the scientists prefer the better paid IT jobs than the jobs at the DRDO. The DRDO is officially looking for various HR policies in order to keep its good scientists. Vijaykumar Saraswath stated these policies have been taken care of. While Saraswath was speaking about this issue he didnt forget to mention that he had signed 20 resignation letters in just the past six months.
However, there is light in the end of the tunnel as NRI science graduates are showing great interest in working with the DRDO. Youngsters from various Indian universities are also keen on working with the DRDO so it is more than expected that the DRDO will focus on hiring young and perspective scientists
