Amazing video. Can u tell me is this shock wave higher than other guns in its class? And what u mean by two different variant? Different types or both developed by DRDO?

This gun must give us huge confidence to go for more Daring projects with more development cost. End of the day we pay lots more to import.

UAE or Vietnam be interested in our guns? With this am sure we have all types of Howitzers which can be built in India.


And o e more thing. 45km range is with normal shell or extended special shells?

Can titanium metal will be replaced with current barrel so weight can be further reduced?

Are we developing New shell for extended rage at home?

Not sure. But that must be our fastest development cycle for any thing!? video looks very promising we could expect early production. And later many improvements will be made in years to come. It's already one of the best in its class

Yes they can. DRDO also developing guided munition like Excalibur.

In-house development of Excalibur type ammo is more important than in-house designed mounted guns.

We have already opted for k9 as our tracked gun system,since it's a very recent purchase it's illogical to put our efforts and money on developing a tracked version of atagm. But yeah development for truck based one can be done,but I want to dovolop something like archer systems not Ceaser type. So as a stop gap measurements we should go for Ceaser with limited numbers and meantime concentrate on archer type howitzers.

It's having one of the best recoil mechanisms,gun body is almost have no vibrations in all the firings,that too we achieved with less wait.

Yes, read somewhere RCI developing mems ins for the same.

Damn that's hot. The mere sound of these बाद boys rolling in should send the pigs to there holes. You can see the shell just disappear after it leaves the barrel. There is little people downrange can do about it apart from saying their last words.

Yes, ATAGS has a range of 45+ km. And Rawalpindi is under the range of Pinaka-2 and Smerch.
