DRD Tactical has been awarded a DMR Contract from one of the United States’ foreign allies for their Paratus 7.62 NATO Weapon System. There are not a lot of finite details surrounding the announcement out of privacy concerns for the contract itself. The Press Release put out on December 14th can be read below:

December 14th, 2018 – Dallas, GA: DRD-LLC has been awarded a contract to supply Paratus DMR Semi-Automatic Rifles chambered in 7.62 NATO as complete weapon systems including scopes, suppressors, bipods, hardcases & back packs for a US ally in Asia. Due to the sensitive nature of the foreign military’s mission, further details are not being released.

Contract deliveries will start in Q1 2019.

DRD Tactical specializes in design and manufacturing of patented Take Down Rifles in 338 Lapua Magnum, 7.62 NATO, 6.5 Creedmoor, 5.56 NATO and 300BLK calibers, and select fire machine guns in 7.62 NATO, 5.56 NATO and 300BLK calibers in our modern CNC manufacturing facility in Georgia.

It is impressive that DRD Tactical will be fully furnishing a complete weapon system for a US ally because a lot of the times every component is separately hand-picked. For those who are uninitiated to the DRD Tactical Paratus rifle, this is the build list that won that DMR Contract for one of the United States’ allies.

What is truly unique about the Paratus rifle is its ability to quickly change out barrels, function as a takedown rifle, and be chambered in the two elite, competing calibers of 7.62 NATO and 6.5 Creedmoor. DRD Tactical touts the Paratus as one the most compact semi-automatic rifles in the world. Given that quality and coupled with the ability to be assembled in under 1 minute and it begins to make sense why military forces would entertain and select the Paratus for a DMR Contract.

With all of that being said, what do you think of an undisclosed US ally selecting the DRD Tactical Paratusrifle for a DMR Contract? Do you agree and would like to own one yourself? Or do you have other rifles in mind? Let us know your thoughts in the Comments below! We always appreciate feedback.
