GDF Suez keeps US$25bn gas contract

KARACHI, Pakistan - Paris-based GDF Suez, which earlier this year faced the loss of a US$25,000,000,000 (25 billion) contract to supply Pakistan with liquefied natural gas (LNG), is to be awarded the contract after all.

The contract to import 3.5 million tonnes of LNG annually for 20 years was held in abeyance in April when the Pakistan Supreme Court reacted to media allegations that the lowest bidder had been ignored and ordered that the entire bidding process be reviewed. The LNG contract, part of a supply and regasification project known as Mashal, had been awarded to GDF Suez in February.


The 25 Billion dollars being awarded to the french company should remove some political misunderstanding on subs and other "Items" of concern

Well they will be builing the gas project on Pakistan side so I am sure they are not that bad

well recently they have banned burqa in france yes their are their personall decision but one side they say that they are democracy than why you stop people of wearing something which they want to anyway lets come on topic recently they have stopped sale to pakistan for JF 17 avionics on just indian pressure i hope we stop the deal with them and give to someone else

French ppl invented nude art lol to them burqa is a big thing ....
80% of public in Pakistan I don't even think wears normal hijab
its too hot 50 degree weather just a cloth piece.

10% use the burqa and its harsh in Pakstan to wear it with weather and also problems with identification.

Avionics & Business vs Burqa is different matter

But if it escaletes to France imprisoning parents for just telling kids to practice faith them its a problem

Learn from Haj. A women in Islam cannot dress to be more pious than in the Haram itself. During Haj and Umra, women do not wear Full-Veil (Burqa or Topi-Burqa) rather face, hands and feet are uncovered and that should be standard or "most pious" dressing for any Muslim Women.
