You really think that Trump can actually win anything without toning down his rhetoric? What has he got to offer on a serious note? This guy will be slaughtered during general elections if he doesn't keep up with his anti-Muslim rhetoric. Your expectations regarding Trump toning down are incorrect. If anything, the guy wil take the rhetoric a few notches higher. That is his trademark and how he riles up people to get them emotional.

I think he believes in a theory "every kind of publicity is good"..... to be honest, i have no idea who is his opponent....... never heard of any of his comments........

Trump is a very clever guy.

He was a Democrat, then a Republican, then a Democrat, etc.

He has no principles, no real baseline political position (he was even pro-abortion at one point, then anti-abortion), he will do whatever it takes to get into power.

And he is succeeding, if the polls are correct.

I can understand that being a muslim (are you?) his comments were deeply offensive to you and your community, I too thought that it was a terrible thing to say and do not agree with any sort of registry or ban on any people based on religion in the US, that's not what they're all about.

Trump is playing very clever politics, remember, they are only in a fight to secure the right wing nomination from registered right wing voters, these are the committed right wingers. He just out right winged everyone else in a bid to appear 'strong', big gamble that payed off, not politically correct, not a nice thing to say.. but he made those remarks fresh of the ISIS inspired massacre in California.

I'm not buying the 'racist/bigot/extremist/white supremacist' mainstream narrative on Trump. If he does go on to become POTUS, and follows through on his promise to destroy ISIS, he'll actually turn out to be a godsend for muslims, who are the main victims of ISIS' and other jihadists' atrocities.
