Does Pakistan have a plan of economic survival?

They're is no such thing as income tax in Islamic law as far as I heard this is a western idea. The head of state asking it's citizens to give charity into the so it can be distributed among the poor is proper.

in this interview karan thappar asked him whats his plan for economic revival?? first he couldnt give a proper answer, then he said we will put more taxes and ask ppl not to save black money in swiss banks. basically he is betting on his popularity to save this country. Karan thappar finds his ideas vague and recommends him to work on a more advanced and thoughtfull longterm plan for growth.

If he plans to reform the Pakistani economy, then he can't say it out loud before he is elected.

Otherwise the vested interests and the elites will make sure that he never comes to power.

.
so what do u mean by this??? u dont want west so just isolate pakistan??

ur inflation is as large as 36% and debt is massive. imran khan says he can rid country of debt by asking for taxes, do u think its possible??

In Pakistan the people doing jobs only pay taxes and whatever taxes are imposed on stuff is paid. The rich, the bureaucrats, politicians they don't pay tax at all. When Imran Khan says he will ask for taxes, he means he will bring reforms into our existing tax system and also by bringing these non tax payer elites into the tax circle.
Pakistan can do very well and we have proved that during Musharaf tenure, all we need is a few years of constant stability and peace. Don't forget that the WOT is also a major reason of our massive debt along with corruption and mismanagement.

Don't take Offensive, I have listened to some videos of Imran Khan, it mostly sounds like promises of Netas(leaders) which they make to win more votes during election. Some of his promises mostly seems like fantasies because a person need a widespread overhauling in the current system to make such thing possible. But I like his talks of bringing peace with India.

Peace is already there between two counties. Infact only India want to do something with false flag operations but cant do.

I completely agree that an economically sound Pakistan will be in India's interest , They need to come out of their current obsessions and rather concentrate heavily on economic growth , for that they need more investment not just from china but from all across the globe. ...

For Investment from international community they need to ensure peace prevails in their country and for that they need to exterminatate all kind of good and bad "terrorists" from their soil. Just by raising taxes and claiming to bring back money from swiss bank will not help Pak.

Once Pak will align its economy with international economies , it will not be the same Pakistan as it is today , indirectly helping India to have a peaceful and rapid growth without threats of war .

Efforts of India would be to direct strength of Pakistan towards achieving higher economic progress, like how ASEAN nations are rivals in economic growth and try to beat each other. Rise of militancy in Pakistan during last 20 years, mainly since mid 80s when they made Taliban in behalf of US which started militancy culture in that region, is more concerned with Pakistan than India or even Afghan also. As, Afghanistan was never in the position to perform as good as ASEAN nations but Pakistan had this potential but they couldn’t. Karachi was deserved to be categorized with Taipei, Mumbai, Jakarta, Delhi, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur etc but it couldn’t performed that good as it was supposed to. But it has potential to catch up with other top Asian cities, its true. Pakistan does have potential to be categorized with the country like Thailand, Turkey and they need a good leadership who may guide Pakistan on the path of higher growth

i personally think a strong pakistani economy is good for india. according to my understanding pakistan needs atleast 15-20 years of economic growth and planned development to even be capable to be stand on its feel and reject all aids with string attached.

a strong pakistan is only possible is pakistan economy grows for 20 yrs atleast without any more wars, invasions, attacks, blasts and military coups.

Imran Khan - Interview by Karan Thapar in Devil's Advocate - CNN-IBN - YouTube

What do You Think khan Is Fool Who Dont Know How he Have To Make Future Plans of Pakistan's Economy ?? Once Khan Revealed the name of his Think Tanks of PTI who will Make Pakistan's economy's plan and the Head of PTI's Economic Plan making team is DR. Kamal Munir

Dr. Kamal Munir is a University Senior Lecturer in Strategy at the Judge Business School at Cambridge University (UK). Originally from Lahore, and a graduate of the University of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Munir holds a PhD from
McGill University (Montreal, Canada).

His research focuses on technology and innovation management, and also spans the competitive, cultural, and organizational challenges faced by managers in emerging economies. His current research most notably involves working as Principal Investigator (along with Professor Wanda Orlikowski of MIT) on a Cambridge-MIT Institute (CMI) sponsored project on the social dynamics of technological transformations. His research has been published in several leading journals; presented in several different countries; and cited in numerous forums including BBC's Hard Talk. He also writes occasionally for the popular press, including The Guardian (UK) and Dawn (Pakistan).
Dr Munir's practical experience includes consulting for several commercial and public sector organizations from diverse fields such as consumer products, software development, including the likes of Pepsi Cola and Fuji.
He has also taught senior executives from several leading companies, including British Telecom, NTT DoCoMo, Philips, Nokia, and Shell. Most recently, he worked for the Department of Trade and Industry, UK, on studies related to innovation and business networks, and for the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association on the design of a strategy for upgrading the textile industry in Pakistan.

Otherwise the vested interests and the elites will make sure that he never comes to power.

If its a true democracy he needs to say it "out loud" and the voters needs to hear it out loud so that they can make up their mind to vote for the right candidate , i dont know how it works in others countries !!!

Ideally yes potential is there but practically chances are slim with them concentrating just on military strength and not so much on economic strength !

I m just tired of PML-N and PPP and their shadow boxing.

So I will vote for PTI. Imran Khan is a clean politican. A person who has achieved a lot for the country without being in politics. A person who does not need to do what he is doing for he can do a lot for himself given his worldwide recognition and following.

It is this type of person who achieve a lot for Pakistan when in power.

The proponents of Nawaz Sharif question in detail about PTI policies. It is as if Nawaz Sharif has all the policies and he has laid them out in front of the people. The fact is that until October last year, PML-N was playing, and is still playing friendly opposition because it thinks it will have the next term. So why indulge in tiring struggle when you are assured the next term? It says that it is doing out of the altruistic sentiment of 'saving the system'

This is the 'system' that protects the corrupt and gives another chance to another corrupt. That is why saving the system was so important.

They make all the hue and cry for public consumption but they do compromises when it comes to making deals with the government. NATO supply line is a recent example.

PPP and PML-N have had two strikes each. We would be much better off trying a third, untried option. But these two are deeply entrenched in the 'system'. One did a deal with the military to leave the country and another did the deal to come back! What a hypocrisy!!

To my point of view, who the next pri-minister will be is not that important, actually. The first thing Pakistan needs is a set of stable and continuous economical plans, which will not be changed again and again by the new government or the next government after it.

Moreover, if you really want to boost your economy, you shoud 100% focus on it. Whenever the bureaucracy system evaluates an official, his performance in economical affairs should be the first, if not the only, consideration. In addition, the goverment budget should also be concentrated on economy growth. Take China as an example, in 1980s and early 1990s, Chinese goverment put every coin into its economy boosting plans and even the PLA dit not get enough budget, so lots of PLA units ran restaurants, hotels, or even cooking schools to get enough money for self-sustenance. This kinds of economy-centralized attitude is a very important reason why China can make such a singificant success in last three decades.

Last but not the least, a peaceful environment is also of key importance. Try everything you can to ensure that no terrorist attack will ever take place again.

Good luck! Wish Pakistan a brilliant future!:yahoo::yahoo:

, and long live our friendship.:pakistan::china:

Imran Khan - Interview by Karan Thapar in Devil's Advocate - CNN-IBN - YouTube

the leading guy doesnt necessarily make all the plans, its the guys the leader select so that his team works fine, however its leader's job to make team work and select right people

musharraf was not an economist, but he made a banker prime minister to do economic work

Pakistan needs an industrial plan for heavy/industrial and light manufacturing in all sectors. No economy has ever lifted out of poverty without having a strengthed manufacturing base. Pakistan needs land reform, an expanded education system and an emphasis on manufacturing. Past government policy has focused too much on the finace/service sectors.
