No: 236, 5 August 2019, Press Release Regarding the Annulment of the Article of the Indian Constitution Which Accords Special Status to Jammu-Kashmir

We are concerned that the annulment of the Article 370 of the Constitution of India on 5 August 2019 which accords special status to Jammu-Kashmir could further increase the existing tension.

We sincerely hope for the resolution of the problem through dialogue and within the framework of the relevant UN resolutions, by observing the legitimate interests of all people of Jammu-Kashmir as well as Pakistan and India.

We are ready to contribute to easing the tension in the region if the parties give consent.

China is seriously concerned about the current situation in Jammu Kashmir. China's position on the Kashmir issue is clear and consistent. It is also an international consensus that the Kashmir issue is an issue left from the past between India and Pakistan. The relevant sides need to exercise restraint and act prudently. In particular, they should refrain from taking actions that will unilaterally change the status quo and escalate tensions. We call on both India and Pakistan to peacefully resolve the relevant disputes through dialogue and consultation and safeguard peace and stability in the region.

RUSSIA

I am not aware of any official reaction from russia but tass which is close to kremlin has this to say:

Under the government’s proposal, Jammu and Kashmir will lose its status of a state and will become a union territory (that has fewer rights than a state). Its historic Ladakh region will be separated from it, also becoming a union territory. Other changes related to Kashmir’s status and rule will be also introduced. However, Jammu and Kashmir will keep its legislature.

The situation in Jammu and Kashmir has been tense for years. The territory of the ancient principality of Kashmir has been a matter of dispute between India and Pakistan since 1947, when the British Raj received independence and was split into two states based on religion. To date, there is no state border in Kashmir: its territory is divided by the Line of Control. Groups that favor departure from India are being active in the Indian part.

Nothing apart from Turkey and China. I hope sanity prevails in the "relevant" circles that where should our priorities be in terms of our foreign relationships.

A little lollipop of a few words, a dozen helicopters and a thought of post-retirement life in countryside Carolina with your green card holder kids should not be a determining factor in our foreign policy.

UAE has commented

New Delhi: The UAE has taken note of the Indian government’s decision of non-operationalisation of some sections of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution related to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, said Dr Ahmad Al Banna, the UAE ambassador to India.

Dr Al Banna added: “We also took note of the introduction of Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill in the Indian Parliament aimed at replacing Article 370 with the creation of Ladakh region and the state of Jammu and Kashmir as India’s two new Union Territories.”

He commented that from his understanding the reorganisation of states is not a unique incident in the history of independent India and that it was mainly aimed at reducing regional disparity and improving efficiency. He viewed this latest decision related to the state of Jammu and Kashmir as an internal matter as stipulated by the Indian Constitution.
The ambassador expressed hope that this decision of the Indian government would help improve the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh. “We expect that the changes would improve social justice and security and confidence of the people in the local governance and will encourage further stability and peace,” he added.

You will only see reation when pakistan escalates the situation otherwise everything is OK in this part of world for majority of media houses
Reason being India is a big market , and no body wants to lose that when specially they are ready for your bidding.

For this issue to become relevant Pakistan must get ready to escalate this a bit and be ready otherwise beside few statements from some randos and empty gestures from Pakistani political and Military elite nothing will happen.

Social media can be used to push people to ask Pakistani gov to take a stand for whats right otherwise

Or if they dont really want that its just better to ask India lets end this whatever you control is yours and whatever we control is our and lets start a positive relationship from that place

German Radio has been discussing Kashmir this evening and were praising Muslim unity in the region.
