Do internet forums increase hate??
it all depend on how the moderaters behsve/act on the forum

Buddy, you Indians refer to ALL the Northeastern Indians as "chinkis" to start with.

So obviously, if you can use that word to refer to your fellow countrymen, you won't have a problem using it against outsiders.

No wonder the NE insurgents and the Maoists hate you guys so much. They take it out on your soldiers and your police forces (who at least are armed and so can defend themselves).

My Northie friends call me madrasi and I call them Bhelpuris. Inbetween I call my Andhra friends Gulti and they call me some with some other funny nick. And yet we are still thick friends and we dont crib about it. It happens in India where culture and language changes every 100 miles and yet the underlying bond of Indian binds us.

I perfectly understand those concepts might be alien to you Chinese who are brought up on the mentality of Han superiority and all others being inferior to you and I am sympathetic to that.

p.s.: Fun fact - Maoists are not north-easterners and they are not fighting the state just because some wise man called them chinkies.

LOL yeah, when Hong Kong was a British colony, the schools all taught us about Han superiority.

I would dearly love to see you find even ONE single reputable source, that shows Chinese schools bringing up Chinese children to believe in Han superiority.

All races have racist tendencies to some aspect, utimately we all think our individual cultures are better, more knowledgable, better understanding of life etc. Since its human to keep comparing and besting even our own race whats to say of other races.

One thing I must say is its quite fortunate that most Asian races even how racist usually keep it to themselves and don't express it out which actually promotes more racial harmony and tolerance, as compared to some Western nations where you can suffer abusive behavior that generates some real hatred.

Having been in India before and knowing some great Indian friends I don't let the racist comments bother me (though I get pissed reading them too), besides majority of the guys here are pretty alright.

S. Indians say things like that to N. Indians. Kerala people say things like that to Tamils. But we all consider ourselfs Indians. Indians do thing like this amongs each other. Some are harsh and mean, but not all.

NE insurgents are slowly dieing down, and I dont know what the Maoist got to do with this.

Dude, we already know this. Don't tell us like we don't know. S. Indians get called "Madrassi" by N. Indians even though they don't come from TN. And S. Indians talk trash about N. Indian travelers or workers too.

I think they do. My view of Pakistani citizens in general has become more negative than what it was before I started foruming on defence.pk

One of my buddies (karan.1970) actually took off and stopped posting for close to an year because he felt that these forums were impacting his views too negatively.
