Persoanlly I have several Hui friends from middle school and high school in Beijing, Hui Muslims born and grew up in Beijing are just Muslims in name, they eat anything and never pray nor go to a mosque. They are just Han in everyway but name.

Besides, Most Hui Muslims in Beijing are just half Hui or a quarter of Hui, they registered their birth certificate as Hui just because they want to enjoy those preferential policies for the minorities.

Most of the muslims these days are just like hui people. Only a few go to mosques or know what islam is. They think islam and being muslim is a new religion introduced by prophet Mohammad PBUH only. Also most of us new age muslims only have muslim names and knkw we should only believe in 1 and only God. Except that they know nothing. Same as hui people of china.

But some of the Best muslims in real sense iv seen have been from hui community in shenyang city.

Also american muslims were among the best ones i met as well. These days islam is so mixed up with culture. Infact anyone and any culture can be muslim .

no not athiest. you misunderstood. what i mean to say is Hui muslims are just as Muslims as pakistaniz or any other Muslim communities like maerican musims or australian Muslims. Best of Muslims are among them and only paper muslims are among them as well. just like here in my country.

I met a pakistani muslim in urumqi china. He was from lahore drinks bear and wine. Has non marital sex. Eats non halal and he thinks he is a muslim because he says i acknowledge that there is only 1 God and my name is Mohammad Abbas so im a muslim just like his father was. Many of us think we are muslims... Reality is far from it.

Point being. Huizu From china or Punjabi From Pakistan. either can be a Muslim or Think they are Muslim. they are two different things.

not the ones i know. i don't know a single hispanic or african americans. Best muslims iv met who are americans come from German or Dutch backgrounds. but they were born in usa so .. they are as american as one can be.

Most European Muslims I have met here in the States or grew up with were from the Balkans or the former Yugoslav republics like Bosnians,and Albanians.
