Breakout star, actor-director and all around heartthrob. We all know Hamza Ali Abbasi to be one of Pakistan’s most versatile artistes in the business, which is why we’re ecstatic to announce that the trailer for his upcoming film and directorial debut Kambakht, is out.
The film is a comedy with an original storyline about two people, one middle-aged man from the backward areas of the frontier, played by Shafqat Cheema, and a young urban city slicker, played by Abbasi himself, who strike an unlikely and accidental friendship.
Kambakht has an all-star cast, including Humayun Saeed, Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui, Sohai Ali Aabru, Fizza Zehra and Gohar Rasheed, among others. The movie is slated for a mid-2014 release, and after seeing the trailer, we think it’s going to be one of the biggest movies of the year. We can’t wait to see what Abbasi’s pulled off from the director’s seat.
