Dictator Justin Trudeau has Emergency aka Marshall Law in Canada to crush peaceful Protesters !!

"Make Canada Great Again".

Now I've seen everything....

.
Can mods fix the title of the thread. It’s a emergency act not aka martial law . @ARMalik are you Canadian? Fox News is a tabloid not a news channel.

Sorry to say this but anti-vaxers deserve the death penalty. Refusing vaccination is voluntary manslaughter as you are deliberately delaying herd immunity and therefore putting innocent people at risk.
Vaccination should not only be mandatory but also forcible.
Covid has reminded us why individual freedom should have strict bounds.

Your are not allowed to run your car into a crowd so you should not be allowed to refuse vaccination either. Refusing vaccination is worse as running people over by car is not contagious.

Peter Sloly resigns as Ottawa's police chief

Peter Sloly has resigned as Ottawa's police chief and will publicly announce his resignation after the Ottawa Police Services Board meeting today, sources tell CBC News.

The former chief has been criticized over his handling of a truck convoy protest that has caused major disruptions to Ottawa's downtown core.

In his resignation letter, Sloly said that he was proud of his ability to overhaul the force's culture to better reflect the "diversity of the community we serve." He also said that he was leaving the force confident that it can handle the protests.

"Since the onset of this demonstration, I have done everything possible to keep this city safe and put an end to this unprecedented and unforeseeable crisis," he said. "We have acquired new resources and enforcement tools, and stood up the new Integrated Command Centre.

"I am confident the Ottawa Police Service is now better positioned to end this occupation."

the anti vax movement is very old.
A unvaccinated person is not at a higher risk of transmission to others than a vaccinated one.
He can still get covid but is just at a higher risk of getting sicker.
The vaccines floating around are not very effective after 3 months. So the experts want everyone to keep on getting revaccinated periodically.
I know a few cases of ppl with 2 vaccines and a booster , getting seriously ill and dying.
The vaccines we got as kids provide lifelong protection but these fast food vaccines have been introduced in a hurry and are not very effective.

An unvaccinated is much more likely to transmit covid. Please look it up.
The fact that the vaccines are not effective for a long period is more reason to get regular boosters.

you are wrong. A vaccinated and unvaccinated have same potential to transmit covid. You can carry the virus on your hands or your mouth and transmit it easily after vaccination. The reason all governments back masks for vaccinated people too.

Please read the below. If you still believe vaccination makes no difference to covid transmissibility, we just have to agree to disagree.

"
The results of the Lancet study suggest similarities in terms of viral load between vaccinated and unvaccinated people. But the study doesn’t provide strong evidence that vaccines don’t work to prevent transmission through the population.
While the peak load may be similar, vaccinated people are likely to have lower viral load overall(external link), and therefore be less contagious(external link)."

the study is very clear but the article author adds his own "likely" etc to push his theories.
Read it.
I am fully vaccinated but am not impressed by how this is being handled medically.

While JT is an opportunistic woke douchefaggatron, he has been way too soft on the protestors from the get go as well as the police.

The protesters know this and know that the cops exercise enormous amounts of restraint especially when they bring kids to these events. So the protesters are guilty of not only being self-absorbed attention-whores but child-abusers as well by exposing them to their toxic mindset.

I hope that wherever these protesters are found (IF and only IF hampering the movement of the general populations daily life), they are arrested, chemically castrated and sent to work in the Northwest Territories serving the First Nations population who are sorely in need of year round help. Their children need to also be fostered with normal people so that the damage these subhuman turd-stains have caused can hopefully be rectified.

Hi, can you tell me what is the background of these protests and why is JT opposing them ? I don't know anything about this.

Because we Canadians are too bl00dy spoiled.

Two main points : Mandatory vaccinations for truckers (although 90% are already vaccinated) and the government imposing mandates. There is a third but it's a very fringe segment that latched on espousing separation of the West from Canada.

The protestors are under the impression that they are fighting for freedom, and have not only choked major border crossings but highways as well, because expecting everyone to do something for the greater good of society is fine and all, but lord help you if it even slightly inconveniences them, then they equate their life to living under a "communist regime". Don't get me wrong, everyone has the right to peacefully protest, but

1) not at the cost of inconveniences others since you feel inconvenienced
2)not brainwashing your kids and making them protest with you knowing that most police forces are loathe to intervene with kids present unless absolutely necessary.

Additionally these silly trucker rallies in addition to choking traffic have also created breathing hazards by moving very slowly ensuring that everyone driving around them on the highway breathes those awful fumes.

JT believes that anyone who opposes his vision for Canada is either racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic etc. He is the head of a minority government and was the previous minority leader as well so his position as leader is not as secure as some would like to believe. Emergency powers allow him to maintain a greater degree of control and hopefully does not create the imaginary situation that these truckertards were trying to protest in the first place.

Like father, like son: 50 years later, Canadian PM Trudeau declares emergency to tackle protests

Faced with truckers' protests popping up across the nation, and hampering cross border trade, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday became the only Canadian leader since his father 50 years ago to declare a state of emergency in peacetime.
Trudeau unveiled a series of tough measures to tackle funding for the protests, including letting banks freeze accounts linked to the protests without a court order, and said federal police will help end the blockades.

But despite the apparent parallels, historians say there are big differences between Trudeau's announcement and the one his father made in October 1970.
For one, Liberal Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau put troops on the streets after a small militant group of Quebec separatists had kidnapped a diplomat and a provincial cabinet minister.

His son, facing one of the biggest crises since taking office in 2015, made clear that deploying the military was not in the cards as he tried to end protests sparked by truckers opposing Covid-19 vaccine mandates for cross-border trips.

Canada was not facing the kind of public emergency the act had been designed to tackle, said Leah West, a professor and national security expert at Ottawa's Carleton University.

"I'm kind of shocked to be honest that the government of Canada still actually believes that this meets the definition to even invoke the act," she told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

Trudeau told reporters he was invoking the 1988 Emergencies Act because law enforcement needed more help.

"This is about keeping Canadians safe, protecting people's jobs and restoring confidence in our institutions," he said.

His father, Pierre Trudeau, took more decisive action after the Quebec kidnappings. Asked by a reporter how far he would go, Trudeau replied "Just watch me", which became one of the main catchwords of Canadian politics.

Three days later he invoked the War Measures Act, the predecessor to the Emergencies Act, and sent troops into Quebec and other provinces. The crisis ended, but only after the separatist group killed the cabinet minister.

"What's striking about this time is we've had no violence, nothing like that," said University of Toronto professor emeritus Nelson Wiseman.

Justin Trudeau asked on Friday about the parallels with his father's experience in 1970, replied that "my values are deeply informed by the way I've been brought up, not just by my father but by experiences as a Canadian" before adding that "every situation is different".

The Canadian Parliament must approve the use of the measures within seven days and has the power to revoke them.

Shortly after the protests began, the "Emergencies Act" quickly became a trending topic on social media as some Canadians called for the federal government to act, frustrated by what they saw as police inaction.

Canadians also demanded Trudeau use the act in early 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic hit the country to restrict the movement of people and goods. The government did not enact it, saying it was a last resort.

One person happy to draw parallels was Maxime Bernier, leader of the populist People's Party of Canada, who strongly opposes vaccine mandates.

"Trudeau will invoke the Emergencies Act for the first time since his father did so over 50 years ago, not because there is an emergency and a major threat to Canadians' security, but because HE is losing face", Bernier, who has appeared at the Ottawa protests, tweeted.
All these Trudeau a$s lickers need to get a life
