We were taliking about some serious movies. Bollywood movies are not worth to
waste money.

I agree with you. I personally don't watch Hindi movies but my family loves to watch them. So we cannot define what is serious movie and what is not. We should let the market forces to decide if a movie is worth shelling 200 taka. I don't even know if you guys make enough movies to sustain these multiplexes.

@RiasatKhan and @DarkPrince ...... unfortunately we are not that much exposed to good Bengali films from Bangladesh. Not sure why they are not shown in Kolkata. So if you can name a few, I'll see.

But on the other hand, we are very much exposed to the Rock Bands, like LRB and Miles, artists like Ayub Bachhu, Hassan and James. Their tune is very much famous here. Ayub Bachhu - Shei Tumi and Miles - Nishho are my personal favorites.

Are you aware of Rupam from the Band Fossils ?

Thats a bit harsh mate. Bangladesh is a developing country too, just like India.

What I meant was, with growing economy and increasing wealth in the country, these malls and multiplexes and entertainment venues will grow, obviously. But there is not need to make a song and dance about it, not on a defence forum anyways!

a v x was awful. but if you do look at the current situation in movie [days of future past], magneto has joined the team which looks to be going in the same direction as comic books where x-men divided in two groups, led by logan and scott respectively. i do hope the movie franchise stay faithful to the comics. im3 was utter crap

]Many Bangladeshi families are now moving onto Pakistani dramas on channels such as GEO TV which isn't surprising [/B]and Pakistani dramas are way less cliche and doesn't have your typical 'evil step mum', innocent daughter in law etc...The Pakistani girls haven't got 10 layers of slap on compared to their Indian counterparts. Plus the way the drama is recorded/directed is way better than Star Plus. Seems odd that indians go to sleep with their jewelry on :S

I used to watch a Pk drama called "Bat.tomize" on ARy, I enjoyed that very much and find that our culture has similarity with Pk in Dramas, unlike India's. I even saw Eid dramas on PK channels and enjoyed.
