Developing fire and forget capability for Iranian drones

Iranian scientists have successfully developed technology of MEMS for infrared seekers that are used in anti tank missiles of drones.

Along with developing visible, thermal and laser seeking warheads, Iranian scientists have provided MEMS tech for those infrared seekers.

Recently IRGC unveiled Mohajer 6 drone equipped with Qaem precision guided missile which was using two kinds of seekers, one was visible or TV seeker and the other one was IIR seeker, that combination of these seekers gives fire and forget capability to Iranian drones.

The IIR seekers provides the capability of fire and forget for its carrying drones, and with their passive reaction, they are unreachable for jamming systems.

Now Iran can develop better versions of AIM 9X. Nice
 
i would like to see Spike ATGM equievelant.
 
This is a huge step in NANO technology, salutes to our scientists.

Obviously the military technology is years ahead of civil technology in Iran. These can be used in economy, now it's completely possible to develop our own ICs and micro processors

It's a great achievement man, the MEMS tech
well those seekers are nice to have on missiles and bombs ,but won't forget we didn't caught RQ-170 with those .
for that I'm sure we used an infrared detector with cooling capabilities and those devices are far bigger and heavier than normal detector.
these detector are good to increase precision and decrease load of work from operator , but it still leave one problem . the detectors we use on our drones are not suitable for using against fast moving targets like for example flying targets . unless we manage to build a FLIR small enough to be mounted on drones like Mohajer 6 or Shahed 129 then we cant have any hope on using them against air target.after all don't forget the engine on those drones can't produce enough electricity for a meaningful radar .
and if we want to make sure not any third rate airplane manage to use gun or short range missiles against our drones without fear of any retaliation we must invest on that FLIR
