Demonetisation: Economy shaken, GDP hurt, trust in govt undermined

May be OP should read the comments section more than the article itself to guage peoples supposed mistrust on Govt.

Duplitious articles such as this are dime a dozen. Demonitization didn't undermine peoples trust on Modi but rather emboldened it as reflected in recent UP elections and multiple mid level election from there on.

To be honest, Demonitization was a hit but Indian people took it to the chin for greater good. People with an agenda would rather criticise the govt for want of success, but people are mature enough to understand its not the result but the intension that matters. We all fail, but I for one happy that I voted for the govt that proactively trying to tackle the issue rather than sitting idle worrying about the consequences or political fall out. GoI thought of a solution and acted on it. Thats all matters.

I and most people I know of will again vote for Modi in 2019.

IMF and WB has predicted a slow down in growth for Indian GDP

Isn't the same IMF and WB was giving thumbs up to Pakistani economy only last year.

If one wants to see the real changes happening then One must go to Indian 3rd 4th and 5th tier cities

Those enjoying fruits of development, are the ones, who will bring Modi back to power in 2019
