Of late one has been reading a great deal on the need for US / Obama to apologise for the attack on a Pak post.

Sentiments apart, how will an apology help ? .. and will it be enough ?

Would the transit fees for instance be $ 5000.00 without an apology and lets say $ 500.00 with an apology ?

What is the relevance of an apology to those who died and to their kin ?

What if there would be a demand for Pakistan to apologise to the world for not having detected OBL living within Pakistan for years - wives and all ?

Would Pak be willing to apologise for this lapse ?.. and more relevant should it apologise ?

There can be no compensation for the lives lost.

No offence meant and it is hoped that these questions will be taken in the right spirit for one does realise the anguish & sense of despair any person would feel if an instance of this nature were to happen in their nation to their soldiers.

I think Both Pakistani and American leaders are stuffed because of elections. Obama does not want to apologise cos domestic audience and elections. Zardari and co do not want to seen to backing down with elections in Pakistan also around the corner. I think the money issue is minor
