Deir Ezzur: Tens of ISIL Terrorists Killed in Syrian Army's Airstrike

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian air force heavily pounded the ISIL moves and gathering centers near al-Ta'min Battalion region and al-Taym, Talat al-Rawad, Western Tal Barouk, al-Baliqiyeh and al-Hosseiniyah districts in Deir Ezzur, a military source said.
According to the source, 17 militants were killed and dozens of others were wounded in the attack while their command center and three of their military vehicles were fully destroyed.

During the operations, an ISIL commander named Abu al-Zubair Tunisi and his deputy Abu Mahjan were also killed, the source added.

On Wednesday, the Syrian army troops targeted ISIL's positions and movements in the Western and Southern outskirts of Deir Ezzur city, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

Reports said that the Syrian Air Force is still airdropping food supplies for soldiers in the military airport and for locals in Deir Ezzur city and other areas in the province, pointing out that the Deir Ezzur branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent is distributing the airdropped aid among civilians.
