i dont know about accuracy of these numbers but to me it means that PPPP era there was a total of around 90% increase(11.5 to 19) vs total of around 60% increase in 4 years in PML era(19 to 31)

i doubt you can jump from 31 to 40 in a year not possible

Collection this year is 35 trillion against target of 39... next year it surely will b 40... just google pakistan tax collection 2012 - 18

Total govt incone from all sources will reach around 50 trillion this year which translates into 49 billion USD

940 Arab Rupees = 8.9 Billion ~9 Billion USD

9 Billion Dollars is a reasonable defence budget

However , I personally feel it is best that we keep our existing budget to 5 Billion range for defence

• The idea of randomly assigning $$$ figures across the board without tax collection does not seems logical, there is ample possibility of misallotment of finances as there would be no track record of where the funding is going

The Extra 4 Billion can be spent better on following

a) Hospitals 500 Milllion USD, indirect job creation(Nurse , Care takers, Doctors)
b) Grade 1 to Grade 9 School standard Improvements 500 Milllion USD (Teachers , laptops)
c) City Cleaning Projects or recreational grounds 500 Milllion USD, indirect job creation (Drivers for trucks , garbage collectors , workers in sanitation)
d) Improvment City wide Electrical Wiring 500 Million USD (Engineering jobs)

• Alternatively 500 Million for Medicine production locally in Pakistan should also be a priority (Incentives for Local companies to make generic medication)

Fix Water / Hospital / School and Sanitation / Electrical Theft issue

4 Extra billion is a large amount of funding


** Improvement in salaries should come from Improved efficiency in Tax collection process
