It lacks net centric warfare capability, but i must say it packs a punch.
That buddy, I say, we can add in the long run.... BTW, we modify or upgrade everything we have..... This is the case of defence and of precious citizen's tax's spending.... Why do you wanna risk it with buying from America....
First, we don't trust America and America doesn't trust us.... Second, American Products always come with high price tags and a number of conditions and/or agreements along with it..... Third, our growing technological involvement with Russia can go awry due to lack of trust and most of the things we use are Russian, so you can understand why made this point.... Fourth, we have a defence, not an expeditionary force unlike America which, I understand, means (primarily) we let the enemy come upto us and we defend our place from them....
So, at this sensitive stage in our military growth and dominance establishment over Asia, every step we take can equally make or break our relationship and India being a neutral country (with no dedicated faction like NATO, Warsaw etc), we definitely don't want to fall in a place where we can look towards no one.... You please be careful about, before replying, the wide perspective I'm keeping in my mind/taing into consideration.... U might think 22 Helicopters don't make a difference, but since warfare has gone so tech-savvy, every equipment you buy from a faction, you are becoming a part of its supply chain and no one ever wants to lose a growing economy and quick maturing military like ours....
BTW... the conditions I was talking about(that accompany US products) are generally about data sharing like CISMOA and this means, it is a lose-lose situation for India, where if we agree, we have to open up our military info and details to them and if we deny, we get just the machine, not the very important (at this stage) Tech.....
That comment I made was about that troll buddy.... I think you can guess from my language that I'm an Indian who ,as my comments speak, supports Russia over other Allies and pardon my spelling mistakes... They aren't the failure of the Indian Education System but of my sticky keyboard!!
