This was an episode from Deadliest Journeys -- a TV-documentary show depicting the stress and danger encountered by truck drivers internationally
we all know that given dangerous conditions, trucking is a respected and honourable profession in Pakistan for many. People decorate their trucks, and treat their trucks as their second wife and second home. There is a whole culture and industry behind it.
I highly reccomend watching this documentary. It takes place in & around the much-feared Lowari Pass (Death Tunnel) - which connects Dir with Chitral, in Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa Province.
These trucks don't have power-steering, retarders, air brakes, anti lock brakes, traction control, or any features (or convenience) found on modern trucks. Even then, they do what they love and do best.
a short clip from the episode, somewhat amusing
