PTI may try to keep its promises, but the real power belongs to the army, the bureaucracy and the feudals still, and I just don't see them giving up their stranglehold.

None of them will be willing to give up their power, that's true. If I was in charge these landlords have their land taken away from them. Education is the key to get rid of these kinds of issues, once again it's the "sheeple" that are misguided & controlled by both the landlords & the religious scholars.

A strong & just judicial system is needed for Pakistan to operate, any new leader Pakistan gets will have to take steps to remove distrust between the army & the civilian government. Of course the military has managed to become too powerful, at this point an attempt to take their powers away from them would be disastrous.

Pakistan's current condition reminds me of Medieval Europe, in fact Pakistan today is exactly like Medieval Europe; think of it as the "Pakistani Dark Ages". Intolerance, tribalism, feudalism, corruption within the government & society, horrible scholars & religious leaders are many of the elements of Medieval society. How different is modern Pakistan from the era? I think we need a leader like Ataturk to get out of this mess that our country has ended up in.

Exactly, look at China's rule of law, and look where they are now.
Look at the writ of the PRC government in China, look at the stability and prosperity it has brought the Chinese.

Now look at us, with all our political parties in a mess and fight eachother almost daily.
Look at the current state the nation is in.

Even though I like Imran, I think he's just too naive. I won't judge on what IK does, I'll judge on what PTI does. Some people are giving him too much attention when in reality the people inside PTI do the all the hard work. I didn't magically like him cuz he's a cricket star.

Imran is but one man, and PTI is but a few. It takes a lot more than a few people to effectively run a government to improve the situation, as bad as it is in Pakistan these days.

I don't know if Imran Khan is going to be a good leader. The reason people support him is because of all the promises he has made for reforms, & because people think that he isn't as corrupt as the other politicians. Another reason is that people are sick of all the previous people that ruled over them, so they have decided to give this guy a chance.

Personally I don't believe he will be of much use unless he is able to restore our judicial system & give the corrupt politicians from other parties their sentences. If he is unable to get rid of these morons then whenever the other political parties return to power, they will wreak havoc in the country once again.

Pakistan is in dire need of a revolution; one that manages to bring about the same changes the renaissance brought to Italy. Tolerance, promotion of critical thinking & free thought, education, honor, loyalty, nationalism, morality, & a desire to succeed. Unfortunately I have observed that Pakistanis are extremely resistant to change. Just ask them to focus on Pakistani nationalism & forget about Pan-Islamism & see how they take it. Some of them might get a brain stroke at the very thought of racial/ethnic nationalism rather than a religious centered one.

I remember watching a documentary about Ataturk & the reforms he brought to Turkey. Many of the reforms he brought to Turkey are required in Pakistan. Of course Pakistan is a different society so we may have to bring about the changes differently, but in any case change is essential for evolution & success. Those who do not evolve will eventually die.

& the funny thing happend today was a disclosre by a former PPP senater who has recently have joinned pML n , asking mehren raja of PPP ,how that famous commando gets hounred & been invited to a official lunch by pakistan embsy in china, that was really funny moment !on dawnnews channel.
If we all have a look on the past 7 years, & can check it out, that it was IMran, who was offered , primeminster ship of pakistan by the commando, & if that Had happened , these looters had never have found their, dam way back into power?
By the way , its un-experinced , imran who was the real source of power, & a darling in hands , to these gangesters, & one-eyed chowdry justice,who can't even announce a proper sentence to these gangesters , IMRAN offten cries of the crouption of the recent robbers in the govt, but he always forgets , how he suppoerted these, looters in the past, against ,pakistans , one & only true reformer“the cAmmando” in the history of this un-educated, greedy, selfish nation?
