Where in Punjab? I do not know if we have any appropriate sites in Punjab. Salt range perhaps?

This seems like a show-shaw news.

The problem with wind energy is high cost of initial investment. If the danish company is going to install wind turbines from their own money it is fine, but if the Punjab Government is going to spare their own money I would say better invest that money on Hydro power projects or coal fired plants under current circumstances.

Why not do it in some mountainous area where there is a corridor created for winds but then the prob would be transporting the energy...
Solar is best option for Baluchistan and South Punjab!

I think they would have chosen the mountainous region from Punjab. It is a collaboration of Punjab Government and Danish firm so they would obviously be identifying location within Punjab. If similar agreement was conducted by KPK, Sindh or Balochistan Government they would be doing the same thing within their respective provinces.

The agreements were to be assigned by the relevant authority answerable to the Chief Minister. Did you mean CM? Governor has no role to play besides being symbol of the Province after amendments in the constitution back in PPP's government.

Now that is sad CM then!

Punjab does have around 250KM long wind corridor in Kalar Kahar. Plus the purpose would also be to map the new corridors in Punjab for attracting investment in wind energy generation.
