KARACHI - Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah met with a six member delegation of CZECH Republic at Chief Minister House on Monday.
The CZECH Republic delegation was led by Chairman NOEL Mr VLADIMIR JAROS. Martin Benes, Ales Sadilek, Vlastimil Macuraic, Iqbal Farzand of NOEL Corporation, Sindh Minister Finance Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chairman Board of Investment Zubair Motiwala and Secretary Coal Mr Aijaz Ali Khan attended the meeting.
The representatives of CZECH Republic NOEL Corporation apprised the CM of their interest with regard to establishment of a Coal Power Plant at Badin. The CM appreciated their interest and assured the delegation that Sindh Government would provide assistance and incentives to investors. NOEL Corporation said that it hoped to install a 400 MW power generation plant in the area.
On the occasion, NOEL Corporation Chairman Mr VLADIMIR JAROS conducted a presentation highlighting NOEL Corporation’s expertise in open cast mining with bucket – wheel mining, long – distance bell conveyors; spreaders and other machines. He also said that his organization had power plants with coal handling systems, lime stone and gypsum systems, stackers , technological belt conveyors and material handling equipment. He added that NOEL had an advisory branch that was assisted by technological, construction, mechanical engineering, transport, lightening, ICT, and telecommunications units. Vladimir said that NOEL had transmission and distribution systems of upto 400 kv. Highlighting his experience on mining activities and commissioning of power plants, he briefed the meting about long distance conveyors, , bulk/coal handling and cleaning systems.
The CZECH delegation would visit Badin, Thar & Thatta today to finalise the investment bid.
