I have seen this long back. :)Thanks.
I have a feeling those guys are lucky to be alive. There have been many fatalities on Himalayan roads. In fact, the Army actually suffers more casualties from road accidents and avalanches in Ladakh and HP than from millitants or LOC firing.

I've been to Manali around the same time in June driving a Thar with 3 people. The driving was no fun at all, 50% of the time we were stuck in traffic. At the night, the roads were closed. We took it slow, like 3 weeks there.
These guys took it in one shot, that's why they were sick.

It's relatively inexpensive too. Anyway, the real adventure trip will be to Nepal. If you want to drive more on high altitudes, and less crowded but there are no real motorable pass.

Add to that once you get married, adventures comes to a full stop.:D

It's the adrenaline rush, being close to death.;)

I wonder if someone has been cycling on this route!!

Yes you can cycle through, I've seen some people riding with fat Tyre geared cycles. But will be incredibly slow. Like you will be on very nice roads for some 30KM-40KM straight, that's where you save time in car/motorbike. In a cycle, that's the boring part of the trip.

First I thought I would watch couple of minutes of this video and then stop it. But I got sucked into it and watched the whole video. Wow.

It's Such a beautiful place with breathtaking scenery. Loved it.
