In what might be called a blatant show of bloodthirsty belligerence, CPM workers from Kerala’s Kannur district have been caught on camera making highly provocative statements against RSS and BJP personnel of the region.
As reported by Times Now, the CMP workers were heard chanting that, “We will ransack their homes and kill”, “We have a leadership…if it says just one word we will kill RSS leader Valsan Thillenkery”:
They are further heard threatening that they won’t spare a single man in RSS, enter their homes and chop them into pieces. The video ends with the CPM workers chanting Inqlab Zindabad.
These slogans, as per reports, were raised on 26th December. The region of Kannur has reportedly been engulfed in violence for the past 10 days, which has resulted in 7 confrontations, where 6 RSS workers and 5 CPM workers have been injured.
Reports about this video have surfaced at a time when CPM and BJP leaders seem to have agreed to take concrete steps for bringing peace to the Kannur district. The measures include, leaders of both the parties refraining from making provocative speeches against their political rivals. Plus the party workers too have been asked to refrain from making inflammatory statements or comments on social media which may lead to tension or violence.
It remains to be seen whether the parties indeed pay heed to such an advisory, which might prevent such sloganeering against RSS workers and leaders in the future.
We have time and again reported how communists have turned the state into killing fields with at least 14 RSS workers getting killed in the state from July 2016 to August 2017. The killings have been so rampant, that they have even stretched to the hometown of current Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who it is alleged, has supported such killings in the past.
RSS leaders have also alleged that the communists get the support of Muslim fundamentalists in the state, which helped them cobble a majority in the last assembly elections.
