What's new

CPEC is dead. Somebody tell Beijing.

Where there is smoke there is fire

A bit like the smoke from Balakot where 300 terrorists were killed and an F-16 was shot down..........:disagree:

PTI Government / Pakistan Military has decided to sacrifice CPEC to gain free chanda from the US.

Sure they have. The military also gave up their nukes in order to better worship the americans. I know this is true as some irrelevant 3rd journalist with dubious credentials said so. Must also be true because he works for the dawn newspaper.

Over the past few weeks, Profit has spoken to several sources in both Pakistan’s business elite circles as well as people who are familiar with the thought process of the military leadership and the picture emerging is not a favourable one of the relationship with China: the more Pakistanis learn about the true costs of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the less inclined they are to want to participate any further than we already have.

Pax Americana is on it's death bed, before the turn of this century, people would talk of Pax Americana like they used to talk about Pax Britannica.

Funny you mention that... just this week we were informed that M5 between Multan and Sukkur was completed two weeks ahead of schedule. Yeah sure CPEC seems dead and buried.

it beats me how a road is to going to generate economic activity. it is empty as hell

Should go back and take economics 101. Or Google some basic principles of logistics, farm-to-market, factory-to-market times etc.

you are telling me that there are no roads connecting Multan and Sukkur before the chinese built the motorway

I will let you work out the ROI for this project
$2.89 billion for 392 km motorway

I have been hearing this rumour so it is prudent to look into it.
I did not send the planes to Balakot. Take your anger somewhere else.

You really to stop spending so much time on forums and start brushing up on reading general knowledge subjects.

Multan to Sukhur Nationa Highway exists, but was never expanded as is, it is just a dual lane eitherway paved road with no shoulders. Under CPEC, the new highway is strategically constructed through an optimum path, with four lanes plus shoulders, like a proper metalled highway ought be.

fair enough
Is $2.89 billion the right amount of money ?

Sure Sure. There was also a rumour that indians invented the internet 10,000 years ago and aeroplanes/UFOs 7,000 years ago. Think we need to inveatigate whether this rumour might be true or not:

Worry not we allow alternative view for discussion as long as it is discussed not bashed ...

@The Eagle

I don't agree.
You allow all the abuse when you like.
You delete all the threads, which goes against the interests of IRGC in Pakistan.
