Corrupt Civil Society in Bangladesh

I would like to point out a recent sexual abuse of a student by a teacher in Viqurunessa School( one of the top institutions for girls). Porimol Joydhar, the rapist was previously accused for the same crime in a different school but the highly politicized governing body was happy to hire him. This teacher frequently abused his students and in this case recorded a video for blackmailing the girl in future. After repeated complains the principal did not take any action and put the blame on the girls. The student stopped going to classes and later the situation got hot and police had to arrest Joydhar and remove principal. Till now our civil society and part of the media sidelined with the rapist and refrained from publishing this news. The rapist was also a student leader of the Awami league's student front. Being a non-Muslim he enjoys a powerful backing from the govt and also the so called civil societies. We have seen the civil society shouting day and night (rightly)when girls or women gets violated in rural places by fatwas etc. They try to potray these abuses as the result of Islamic teachings. Although, the abuses of women in rural areas are totally against the basic Islamic principle. Still our civil society always find ample time to relate these with religion and I don't have a problem with that. But, they have no time to look at the abuse of girls by this animal-like teacher in a country's top schools and the reason being that this criminal belongs to their master's (India) religion (often call minorities in Bangladesh. They are so much blessed by their master's in terms of money and power that they find it impossible to call a Hindu as rapists or criminals. This is pure hypocritical and double standard. I don't like dragging religions everywhere but this socalled civil society must understand that we will not tolerate abuses of majority by minority. If they ensure that, we will be respectful to the minorities in bangladesh , otherwise not. Therefore, wake up civil society and don't betray your nation by serving another nation's interest!
