There are back to back assasinations and IED blasts targetting security personnel, government officials, community leaders, traders and ordinary citizens.

Tribal Agencies
Balochistan
Federal Capital
Khyber Pakhtunwa
Sindh and Punjab

have had small and big incidents that appear coordinated if smaller incidents are not ignored.

this May be smoke screen for something bigger or itself a plan for general anarchy and dissent among people and breakup of confidence from state.

A drive by shooting in Islamabad has taken lives of 2 policemen today which has signature of Karachi shootings.

I am sorry to say but our agencies have been a major failure on all fronts. Time to accept this and hold them accountable for their shambolic performance.

I mean we've been facing terrorism for nearly 20 years and yet it still seems the enemy can switch on and off when they desire. We throw troops into the meat grinder but nobody is targetting the head of the snake. All these foreign scumbags sat abroad need to be assasinated.

Very rightly said sir. This sort of incidents can be a rehearsal of coming big incidents. Intelligence agencies need to be extra careful.

Exactly my point! We have been on a rapid decline since many decades. We have not only been made to suffer thousands of innocent Pakistani lives but huge economical loss too. What did the enemy suffer? Nothing.

What else really pisses me off is that after 20 years of this, the police are also still as inept, fire and rescue services bordering on non existent and we're still heavily reliant on private ambulance services across much of the country.

The best covert defense is a timely covert offense.

We have been pulled backward by bajwa. Raheel Shareef was doing great and we need someone like him.

These incidents will not stop unless you identify those doing it and pay them back in the language. World belongs to those who stand up and fight, just closing you eyes wont make the cat disappear.

Do the same in india. Not only in kashmir but all around india in their military. Tit for tat.

Best defence is strong offense they do 1 ied bladt we should do 3 in return.

We have a LOT to do even before that.

1. Barely any terrorists get executed in our country. In my opinion though it's better they're shot dead on the battlefield and in encounters then having to play games with our inept courts.

2. We don't execute the high profile figures we have access too. That TTP idiot, Khlubashan, that lyari gang boss. We also don't go after their replacements. We should literally be shooting first and asking questions later with the senior suspects in these sorts of cases.

3. All those sepratists sat in Europe need taking out. Don't be blatent about, deny responsbility, but kill them. It's not to easy for the enemy to groom new heads. The US did a great job at taking out senior Al Queda leadership. They messed up by focusing on oil wars rather than targeting cells and local networks.

4. Then we need to look at snake nations like Iran and Afghanistan who harbour terrorists and the UAE who faciliate their funding. Why aren't we working hard enough to close these channels? is 20 years not enough time? Imagine the support GW Bush/Trump would have given us to curb Iranian activity in our part of the world.

5. Then finally, yeah - why aren't we supporting/funding insurgencies in India, when they are doing that in our country?

Awaam is so dumb, they are incapable of listening to lockdown/social distancing orders and showed foreign agencies how vulnerable we really are. Our defence is pretty crap against this we must retaliate with similar attacks, and expose India and others as terrorist supporters first.

Excellent post.

The cost-benefit calculus must be altered decisively so that terrorists and their handlers feel averse to carrying out such episodes because the cost would be unbearable.

Our security agencies need to be better prepared for this. Why are they still playing on the backfoot. There is so much to learn from Mossad.

Mossad example should not be taken in isolation.... Their interior security apparatus and organizations such as Shin Bet are equally good... In this way they complement each other's efforts...

Yep, which goes back to what I said about the police. They're glorified security guards in most cases and even when they're doing good work, they're cut off at the knees by the courts.
