A very redundant statement by Altaf Hussain. There is no conspiracy, its pretty open. We seek to improve our economy and military, thereby accentuating our overwhelming military and economic advantage over any who wish to oppose us in South Asia.

^^ Monopoly? Don't make me laugh. China is the real player in this region. India is playing second fiddle at best. Of course, your American friends are trying hard to alter this reality, but a far cry if you ask me.

Not really, we are the maximum or highest influence wielders in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives.

China has more influence than us in Pakistan. So no, I know it might hurt you but we are the undisputed influence player in South Asia.

For the first time i agree with Altaf Hussain.

There is a status quo being established in the region and India is being given a role as region's policeman. But this wont work. Not a wishful thinking. India is a country with a very small brain.

We have already established our numero uno position in Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives.
We were losing out to China in Sri Lanka but with the removal of Rajapaksa, we are again at numero uno position there.

The only place where our influence is second to China in South Asia is Pakistan.

As a Pakistani you might not like to believe this, and resort to the usual abuses that Pakistani are known for...but it has already happened.
