I understand what you saying but you don't understand India.
India is country of very small businesses.
For eg, my friend is in casting business. He has 2 very expensive machines set up. Others use outdated machines as new 1 very costly setup.
He went to China and told me he met a person who had 3 floors full of machines running full speed . On each floor maybe 20-30 machines.
Now give me a scenario how my friend can compete even though he's using same machines ?

He would get only 1-2 local orders , big orders will go to China.

India needs time to analyze the effects and slowly let the competition in.
Just like we did last time. That's why there are so many Chinese companies now in India, cause India opened its economy.
But it did so slowly so adverse effects were there but not that drastic.

We are not China. Leaders are held accountable for sudden loses. Every single Chinese leader would have shot dead if he was in India. The mistakes Chinese leaders did back than are unthinkable.

Looks like Hong kong Special Administrative Region (HK-SAR) soon will joining RCEP too in the future

But it will takes times, because they still close application for new members until the next year
