Yes, i did accepted, but couldn't go, because my father's heath started to deteriorate and he died on September 30. Joining date was September 27.

Thats sad mate..I can totally understand as I had to go through the same thing...I got admission in Niagara College,canada, last year,the fees was also paid but my mom's health deteriorated and I had to stay back.

If you come to Niagara this year, let me know. I'll be on this side of the border.

Exactly! These colleges that have been given University accreditation in last 20 odd years are not real unis. (Sheffield Hallam, De Montfort, like the one in this case). In the core these are still colleges.

That's why you never see them above 100 in University ranking tables.

But yes, there was time when these scammers used to run 6-7 colleges in one building in London. No classroom nothing. Just get fees and students would gladly pay £6000-7000 for one year. That's how crazy some people are to get here. They think they'd easily make it in less than 6 months. Plus these agents portray such a pretty picture than what it actually is.

I know a guy from Pakistan, who sold his baap/dada's land to pay fees and come here thinking he'd buy it back in less than a year.

I also knew a guy from India, who mortgaged his mum's house (his dad had passed away) to pay for his fees but only to find it is not so easy coming to uni and getting a work on student visa if you have no intention to study. So this poor fellow committed suicide because he couldn't bear 'vasooli vale goonde' coming to his house and threatening his mum.
