Colombo City – Sri Lanka Hit by Rain

Due to the downpour of rain on Sri Lanka’s capital normal life of many were disrupted. Flood relief teams of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces have been deployed in Colombo to assist people affected by the flood.

Colombo recorded 400mm of rainfall by 7am today, the highest rainfall in 18 years, the Meteorological Department said today. Several roads in Colombo remain inundated and the showers are expected to continue until 11am.
