ISLAMABAD: The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday, Geo news reported.;):pakistan:

Haha, my guess is the message is going to be, that "I've already agreed with Gillani to reinstate the judges, and end the Governor Rule with Salman Taseer's dismissal".

Either Zardari can do it himself and save some face or Gillani will do it... And I think hes passing on the message that Kayani won't act upon if Article 58-2b is invoked. Zardari can still go for a no-confidence vote against Gillani, but that will cause more drama and Zardari might end up losing his supporters than gaining some.

what if , president zardari accepts US demands , to investigate " mr nuke khan", what if USA fully back him up, what if COAS keep his mouth shut.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani held separate meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari to discuss country’s overall political situation here on Friday.

According to sources, important decisions are expected to be made following these meetings.

The Prime Minister held an important meeting with the President and apprised him of prevailing political tension in view of the long march. Sources told that long march and subsequent sit-in were consulted in the meeting.

Later, Army chief Gen. Kayani also met with President Zardari to exchange views on tense political situation.
