ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani here on Tuesday, Geo News reported.

According to the sources, PM Nawaz Sharif discussed the country’s overall security situation with COAS Kayani here today.

The sources further added that the Army Chief apprised the Prime Minister of his views on the new national energy policy during the meeting.

Pakistan is facing widespread instability in the form of domestic terrorism and ethnic communal-ism.

At best the military can buy the government time an bargaining power to find political solutions to end at least some of the instability.

Nawaz is going to have to put his nose to the grind stone and find some solutions fast.
