ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to install a biometric system and close circuit cameras in hospitals to check absence of doctors and ensure presence of consultants at OPDs.
The decision has been taken in view of complaints that many junior doctors leave their place of duty by shifting their responsibility to trainee postgraduates, and absence of a sufficient number of senior doctors at OPDs. The step will help ensure attendance of doctors at their duty places.
