What's new

CJP wants to examine the NOCs issued to Gen Raheel Sharif & Gen Pasha.

He is doing the right thing person worked at the highest rank has the sensitive information should not work for other country without NOC no one above the institution no institution above the country
tO KEEP STATE SECRETS IS A PERSON'S OWN MORAL RESPONSIBILITY AFTER RETIREMENT. tWO YEAR GAP DOES NOT MAKE THEM FORGET THOSE SECRETS, SO THE LAW IS NOT ABOUT SECRETS RATHER INFLUENCE. Arrrrgh caps lock

There's nothing wrong with what he did. If anything --- provided that he already knew that Raheel went to Saudi Arabia legally (though he definitely should NOT be serving under a young dumbass sectarian war-mongering prince) --- it sent a strong message to the N-league / pseudo-liberal lobby who were criticizing him for being soft on the army.

Relax. If Raheel went there legally, there's nothing to worry about. The only thing gained is that the CJP is not playing favorites --- something that actually helps the country's and judiciary's image.

General Raheel was a diplomatic investment. Legal? NO
Useful? Time will tell.

Legal? Yes.
Any Civil Servant can apply for NOC and if granted, can get employment abroad.

After two years of retirement?

Did RS wait for two years? If that is the case the law should take its course.
Bhai jan yahii tou maslaa hai.. Awaam aur CJP dono ko Qanoon ka nahii pata.
I posted the two relevant legal clauses in the original post.
Law bars any civil servant from finding employment abroad within 2 years of retirement . But allows civil servants to apply for NOC withing those 2 years and if granted their foreign appointment becomes legal.

Time period matters. For any other servant there would be a wait, especially a military officer. This was a diplomatic investment so norms may not be followed.

Why is it that every time courts call some one from military or ISI , people start targeting judiciary. Are they above law?? This mindset needs to be changed.
Pakistan is heaven for boots!

Or not. One could learn to accept the facts on the ground.
