Im pretty sure CIA is not the only one monitoring general sentiment across the globe.
Its a very old and common practice , helps in taking sound foreign policy decisions.

You are more correct than you think. In intelligence gathering, and we know it is equally art as it is technical, what is more enjoyable than to see potential sources WILLINGLY give up bits and pieces of what they think are irrelevant knowledge? That is the coup in the 'art' aspect of intelligence, to convince sources, being unwitting as they are, to give up what they know in pure innocence.

You can differentiate Amriki from Bharti from level of their cheapness.

I personally can identify bharti just by looking at him... rest all must be Amriki.
