There is a travel show series on channel cctv 4 covering countries n OBOR. This week thee series covered mainly from Pakistan. This show is on 720 MW Karot Hydropower Project in Azad Kashmir. This show covers in detail, the projetct, thee people resettled after being displaced due to the building of dam, Pakistani & Chinese workers participating in these projects and their life here. Last week an anti-Pakistan journalist Cyril Almeida made a claim that Chinese workers are prisoners and slaves which brought response from Chinese embassy official. Whatever one feels they are, colonizers, slaves, friends of Pakistan, but these Chinese workers' efforts is going to bring about improvement in the lives of Pakistanis. They're doing what many other nations like US, India are trying to subvert What many so-called 'patriotic' 'rich' Pakistanis could'nt do. They don'tintend to stay actually wish to return soon to their countyr but they want to improve the lives of the people of the region they're based which suffer 12 hours of loadshedding per day. There is a Chinese senior among them who is building infrastructure in Pakistan since 1988. These people deserve our gratitude and respect. Really appreciate for what they're doing for people of Pakistan.

Commendable - I didn't see the full video but they are definitely more humble than the Western expats who work in India. A few years ago I had a bar fight with a French engineer who was working for Mahindra-Renault. They have a sense of entitlement as if they are doing the country a favor. Good to see the Chinese being so humble.

Chinese people are traditionally very humble and polite, even though they might not say thank you or please often but they are far better than many westerners

He belongs to a community of liars and so is every anchor who came to journalism for minting money...for the right price he will even adopt donkey as his own father and will release a report on his DNA detailing how it matches that of a donkey!

The work the Chinese have been doing in pakistan is exemplary and very much appreciated. Let's not make the couple of anti noises akin to being the voice of the nation. The nation of pakistan appreciates their work and hope that this friendship will reach greater levels in all aspects. Our mission for prosperity is not just pakistan and China centric but regional and world centric and we wish prosperity and development upon all nations even those that oppose us.

The humbleness of the Chinese is deep in their culture.

However, in my opinion, as an amateur historian, it has pros and cons.

In "muscle economy", like the world have been in last 500 years, the aggressive culture of the West (and some other aggressive people, like Mongolian or Japanese) have showed their advantage. During that time, people should be a little stupid and aggressive. That would be an advantage for their countries to fight, to kill and to conquer colonies. The highly civilized people like the Chinese and the Jews, who have never been war-like, would easily be the weaker ones.

However, in knowledge economy like the world is now developing into, the brain size should decide who will win, not the muscle.

For those of us that have been to Pakistan very recently and seen with our very own eyes how much the Chinese have developed Pakistan, it is mind blowingly staggering. We can never thank the Chinese nation and people enough.

The Chinese have a very special place in the hearts of Pakistanis and the Pakistani nation. They are truely a special people.

The enemies of Pakistan can never realize, understand or appreciate these sentiments and facts. They are an eternal lethal poison to us that needs to be averted at all costs and at all times.
