Sorry, it was a piece of old news.

Three Kingdoms was a fascinating historic period in China, having a huge impact on modern China as well as many countries in East Asia, not just in terms of literature, but also language (huge amount of idioms used daily by Chinese today originating from that era), culture, national identity, interpersonal relationship, tourism, even the names of today's Chinese cities.

Cao Cao, pop song by Singaporean Chinese
Cao Cao, one of the most influential Chinese historic figure
@Mista @eldarlmari @Dungeness @Jlaw @Keel @powastick

The city Jingzhou (Jing State) mentioned in this song, is one of the most important place during Three Kingdoms.
Today, it is the 4th largest city in my province.
There are numerous idioms and words used today directly related to this city.
(Hubei Province' 3rd largest city Xiangyang is also a prominent city during the era)

The most beautifully written/performed TV series in recent memory is "琅琊榜 Nirvana in Fire” . I don't have problem watching it a few more times, and I don't usually watch TV drama at all.

This fictional soapie is based on Northern and Southern dynasties.
Though the story itself is more
fictional than reality-based, it encourages millions of fans to read related history.

Many Chinese do not have too much knowledge about this time, unlike on Han, There Kingdoms, Sui/Tang, etc.

Nearly all history-based Chinese TV series are about major dynasties such as Tang/Song/Ming/Qing/Qin/Han/Three Kingdoms.
It is great to see more and more TV time is given to less influential dynasties, which are important parts of China's history.

Chronologically:
Han Dynasty---Three Kingdoms---Jin Dynasty---Northern and Southern Dynasties---Sui Dynasty---Tang Dynasty

It is paramount for every Chinese to have a clear sense of order of each dynasty chronologically.
History knowledge is being spread not just in books and school textbooks, but via media and TV series.
Such Chinese TV series have a huge impact on Chinese and people in East Asia (Sinosphere) nowadays.

Me too.
Cao Cao was a hero of wisdom and courage, Liu Bei was full of hypocrisy.
Today Cao Cao is more influential than Liu Bei.

I like the design of high-speed railway stations in Hubei, very strong Chu and Three Kingdom style.
Yes, in spite of its small size, Jing Zhou Railway Station is still very atmospheric, typical Han dynasty style.
