What great day? What is there to brag about? Chinese came as per their wish and left when they wanted.
It is a good development but nothing to celebrate.

pre-september 10 position suits india and it was first put forward by india. chinese have accepted that means they have accepted indian claims.

so chinese came nowhere, it was all calculated media drama to deceive the chinese ;)

see what nyt says:

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/27/world/asia/india-china-ladakh-dispute.html?_r=0

The present dispute began when workers on the Indian side began constructing a canal at the “line of actual control” in the village of Demchok. Chinese civilians began to protest, carrying flags and banners and shouting slogans, and the People’s Liberation Army supported them.

Thupstan Chhewang, a legislator from Ladakh, said that India “asserted its position much more effectively by outnumbering Chinese troops.”

local chinese army commanders and troops must be furious to eleven chingping for letting their morale down

.
India has done anything to compromise?

India has formally agreed to replace all references to Senkaku with Diaoyu on all official documents, gazettes and maps. Unfortunately nobody cares in India, and there are no references to either name on any document in India.
