After reading this documentary, I want to ask everyone. Is the Bangladeshi industry legal? Is it legal to sign a deed in a brothel in Bangladesh?

Legal only the in those pre existing brothels. I read 20 in numbers. Other than those areas, its not legal. I thought this one (Second largest) was demolished, but later established with permission by some NGOs. But I think its not safe for wealthy people from other areas. As they may trap them. However local powerful and cheap people may go there frequently.

One of the few brothel village has been documented here. They are doing it for generations. Mainly cheap and lower class people goes there. It’s not safe to go there.

If you want to sign a deed, I suggest you go to land registry office as a brothel is not an appropriate venue to conduct such business.

OTOH, if you meant like signing a Contract Agreement to initiate physical contact, I say talk to a local lawyer, better yet have the lawyer present when the Contract is in execution phase !

Many of the girls interviewed in the documentary signed a deed, and all their freedom was controlled by the brothel boss, the equivalent of a slave who signed the contract. So is this lifelong contract legal in Bangladesh?
