There are at least 120K Filippino domestic helpers in HK. A simple calculation will give you an idea. Assuming each HK Filippino remits US$200 (HK$1,600 or about 1/2 of take home HK$ 3,740) back home per month. That is US$288 million per year.
US military aid to the Filippinos is about $30 million over a no of years.

Calm down. You should distinguish between the goverment and ordinary people of the Philippines. PH maids just want to earn money for their livings, the majority does not have any politics in mind. Punishing them will also hurt the HK employers and economy in whole or in part.

Do you realize that 120k OFW there in China means??? It means there are 120k+ families that would want our gov't to value our relation with China. So if China would send all them home...that would mean there would be 120k+ families that would resent China. Sinophobia would rise dramatically.

I am in favor of sending home all those Filipino OFW in China. My belief is that it is in the interest of the Philippines to disengage with China. That we should stop sending OFW to China and repatriate all our OFW there. That we should minimize imports and contact with China. We viewed once China as a friend, but now, we view China as an aggressor/enemy.
