Anti-TPP protest in New Zealand. Why because folks were kept in the dark? Read the posters and banners.
Vietnamese here don't need the detail of TPP,no one of them bored to ask for them. All they need is T.P.P.LOL.

You were the one that posted the negative claims about the TPP that was was not corroborated or referenced to any TPP text. You need to give the proper reference and analysis for those claims first buddy, dont just use unsubstantiated claims from a blog post from a weird personal blog. Do I also need to address the blog’s claim that the Iranian women soccer team are men?
So what? A good DEAL should not be shroud in so much secrecy! What reference and analysis when a deal is signed without people being able to debate on it. All they heard is rumor and hearsay. That is a load of bullshit!

Look at the messages in banners written by the concerned folks even in the USA themselves.

LOL so this is all you got?...this same old secrecy thing...and pictures of protesters...while ignoring the fact that the TPP text will all be made public.

If you have that much time to find and paste all those pictures, why not use it to answer my challenge to back up those unsupported claims with reference text and proper analysis?

Here is the answer: its because you can’t.

So, you ended up to be just another hater who cannot back up what he says. Goodbye.

That is the crux of the discussion right from the beginning. Text me the 1000 pages of the GREAT DEAL pact and I will either support or reject it or in your childish words, LOVE it or HATE it.

Just don't treat the rest of the FOLKS here and elsewhere like the low being VIETNAMESE who support the deal without even the understanding, viewing or debating about it.

The PEOPLE themselves should be the one deciding whether TPP is a GOOD DEAL or not and not you.

You are a LOUSY brush SALESMAN who came to my door and assured me, your brush is the best of the best without neither catalogue , picture or the product. Just the typical "OBAMA" Read my lip or Trust me.

Why should American? (Polls revealed that Obama's popularity is only 36% or less)

Why should the citizens of all the affected TPP nations just agree BLINDLY?

Tell us all, WHY YOU ARE SO SUPPORTIVE OF THIS SECRET PACT although you know practically NOTHING about it? Being OBEDIENT to the state or simple BRAINLESS!

I have only made one postive claim about the TPP in this thread: independent labor unions. And I can create a new thread to give further details and analysis if you want.

You were the one that made loads of negative claims without any reference to the TPP text and refused to back it up with detailed analysis. Is that clear?

So dont waste my time anymore if you cant reference the text or give in depth analysis. On the other hand, if you want me to give my analysis about workers exploitation and labor unions, then start a thread for it and I will definitely join in.

Otherwise, you can stop wasting time now.

Why does this lady a USA presidential candidate who promoted TPP as US Secretary of State having read all the documents at her disposal objected to TPP today?

The other US Presidential hopeful Donald Trump outrightly opposed it. Why? Because he did not have an opportunity to read about it or knew it is a BAD DEAL for the people.

Hillary Clinton Opposes Trans-Pacific Partnership

7th October 2015

Hillary Clinton said Wednesday she opposes the 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership, marking a significant break with the Obama Administration as she heads into the first Democratic presidential debate.

In an interview with PBS NewsHour, Clinton said that while she is still reviewing the deal, she is “WORRIED” it benefits drug companies and does not address currency manipulation.

“What I know about it as of today, I am not in favor of what I have learned about it,” Clinton said. “I’ve tried to learn as much as I can about the agreement, but I’m worried.”

Clinton’s opposition to the deal will come as welcome news to trade unions, who overwhelmingly oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership and fear it could cost millions of American jobs. Despite her status as a frontrunner status in the Democratic primary, her role in negotiating the deal as Secretary of State has hurt her reputation with the AFL-CIO and earned the ire of union rank-and-file.

Richard Trumka, president of the AFL-CIO, said last month that Clinton would need to oppose the TPP to earn the whole-hearted support of labor unions. “If she doesn’t take a position on TPP, then she’s looking for our vote. If she does take a position on TPP, then she’s looking for our support,” Trumka said.

The trade deal is a central part of the Obama administration’s strategy to “pivot” to Asia and would be a major achievement of his presidency if Congress approves it, lowering tariffs and expanding trade within 40% of the world’s economy. It would pit Clinton at odds with Vice President Joe Biden if he decides to enter the race.

Clinton’s views on the deal are a notable evolution from her past pronouncements. She called the TPP the “gold standard” of trade agreements in 2012 and in her memoir Hard Choices, Clinton said the deal “won’t be perfect” but it “should benefit American businesses and workers.”

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley both oppose the trade deal, a stance that is an important part of their appeal with the Democratic base.

Her announcement today won her early criticism from O’Malley, who has often accused Clinton of holding her finger to political winds.

“I was against the Trans Pacific Partnership months and months ago. We were told in NAFTA all sorts of great promises and what we got in return were shuttered factories and empty pockets,” he said. “Secretary Clinton can justify her own reversal of opinion on this, but I didn’t have one opinion 8 months ago and switch that opinion on the eve of debates.”

So you see, you are wasting your time defending the indefensible with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except your own opinions and prejudices.

Mine is the COMMON opinions that you will find everywhere you go.

If it is such a GOOD DEAL why didn't Philippines, a closer ally to USA backed or joined it?

Whereas RED COMMUNIST Vietnam did! It only proved Filipino is one up on the Viet in this case.

HAILING IT AS A VICTORY without the understanding. That is pathetic! :yahoo:

Well, you must not believe every words politician said when the election is near. She says she against it, But everyone thought that she said that only to election, not doing so if elected (as in 2012 she and Obama have promised to re-negotiate NAFTA with Canada, but then did not do anything?
Relevance article and you can see common American opinion on her words there and many do not take her word lightly and criticized her for her opportunist

The result of TPP is uncertain. That's for sure. Vietnam is eager to be the first one to take a bite. Let it be. Others just stay away and watch the reaction.

I also used to have strong sympathy for the Philippines about their situation but then realized, hey, they don't even get mad at colonial injustices, now love US and Japan, and some even see it as an honor, so why am I getting mad on their behalf?

you just found this out? everyone in PH has spanish first names and surnames and speaking foreign language mixing with their own and so proud.. lol. as pathetic as those phucking shameless slanty-eyed white *** kissers in HK an S'pore are. those guys at least still keep their family names to this day :D

A very interesting article from Foreign Policy. Its a long article, here’s an abridged version.

‘Why Won’t Anyone Play With Us?’ China’s Internet Erupts With TPP Angst | Foreign Policy

Wow, many misconceptions here, lots of Chinese netizens for some reason see the TPP deal as a slap in the face for Xi and an insult against China.

Now I finally understand why so many Chinese PDF members here are so hurt about the TPP and constantly post insults about Vietnam and the TPP. So sad.

China, I actually think you are welcomed to join TPP, don’t be so angry.

@Nihonjin1051, time for us to work hard to get rid of this misunderstanding about the TPP.

It would be foolish for China to join the TPP as the biggest risk is the nation's financial sector being controlled by foreign conglomerate. As long as China signs and maintains free trade agreement with the nations within TPP, it can enjoy the benefit without the risk.

Vietnamese here don't need the detail of TPP,no one of them bored to ask for them. All they need is T.P.P.LOL.
Bcs we know correctly what benefit VN will get in TPP. VNese have a very good vision, we can see the fall of RMB in January while no CNese could see it.

We also can foresee the fall of CN economy when TPP cone out :)
