  • PM cannot allow China to use his words as a vindication of their position: Manmohan

Lin Minwang, a professor at Fudan University’s Center for South Asian Studies in Shanghai, was quoted by the newspaper as saying, “It is normal to see heated nationalism in India, but we don’t need to worry whether nationalism will hijack the policymaking of India to further provoke China.”

“When India is in conflict with Pakistan or other neighbours, nationalism might drive New Delhi to take actual operations, but when it comes to China, it is a different story,” Lin said.

The newspaper also quoted Wei Dongxu, whom it identified as a Beijing-based military expert, who alluded to that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s words at an all-party meeting on Friday: “Indian forces can take all necessary steps are a show of strength for domestic audiences to appease the Indian masses and boost the Indian troops’ morale.”

He was referring to this against the backdrop of the June 15 clashes in Galwan Valley in Ladakh, in which 20 Indian soldiers died and more than 70 others were wounded without reflecting on the Chinese casualties.

Wei said: China’s capability not only in terms of the military but also overall and international influence, is superior to India’s.”

The headline of the story was fairly provocative as it said ‘India knows it can’t have a war with China.’

Chinese experts sought to draw comparisons with Pakistan which is already engaged in terror-boosting activities besides intensifying the cross-LoC firing inflicting casualties on soldiers and civilians and facing befitting retaliation.

The newspaper should surrender itself to the fake news police.

Here's the actual text in the article that mentions Pakistan.

Nationalism should actually drive any conflict that is aimed at protecting territorial integrity. Lin is hinting in as polite a way as possible that India simply does not have the guts to take China on. The whole world saw this on 15th June. All India can really do now is attempt to boycott China economically.

The gap between the two superpowers is vast, and increasing.

India must be more than a bit disappointed - still stuck in Compton.

@manga
So cute of The Tribune (India) attempting the obvious.

What, just because a professor at Fudan University has stated that Pakistan is not stronger or equivalent to China - is pretty much the obvious.

Don't worry, we haven't taken it personally 'cause...
  • Its the opinion of a Professor and not a state official.
  • And we know that China is 'A' Super Power. Good thing they're in our corner or vice versa.

.
Its mean you beat indian army humiliate them as much as you want as long as it looks good for politician who can gain some popularity and win election its fine.
Mr. Lin is totally right that india is not capable of war with china. Their media knows and army knew long ago that they will not be able to damage anything so they come to Pakistan cuz we fail to highlighs indian terrorism what a fine diplomacy we have.

. .
Why Endia doesn't want to do Surgical strike on China?
because WC Abhi-Not-Done(Abinandon) is on leave. Its China, Pakistan Pissed on them on 27th Feb and the whole world saw that. A country 7 time smaller in size but with much bigger balls. Just IMagine what China will do?Its no Bollywood Movie where a single Hero wins WW3.
Ind-China Soldiers only fought with fist and rods , Indians soldiers Jump into the river to save their butts. and modi indirectly blamed his own army that they were in Chinese territory. Ab har dafa rafeal ka bahana to nai chal sakta.

. .
Why Endia doesn't want to do Surgical strike on China?
They already did farzical strike and killed 45 PLA soldiers

Sequel of L.O.C kargil.
L.A.C Ladakh..
LAC = Line Of Actual Chitrol

Can India monkeys stop jumping up and down and try to drive a wedge between allies? Even the source is questionable, I don't see any belittling way China treating friends unlike India treat its neighbors. It's a fact China is larger and has more population and more powerful, so what?

What Indians insinuating is despicable, be a man, fight a war at border with PLA instead of on Twitter. Where is your surgical strike now?

Pakistan has taught you hard lessons, despite 7 times larger you can't take on Pakistan and take over Kashmere, but you babbling two front wars nonsense, you should have some shame!
