As I said many times, quite often wages are the least important part now. If wages are that much important, then no industry will move back to US.

Taking the man out of the equation is only part of the solution. The other biggie is pollution which isn't going to be solved by automation.

I think automation will at least, lower pollution in China.
At least we've already seen effects in Wuhan.

Nope. The supply chain structure is important. In India where large format retail is not allowed and is dominated by millions of small mom and pop operators, there is a large retail productivity issue. ANd since that inductsry is a huge part of the economy it keeps sliding the scales. Another issue is infrastructure. Lack of cold chains (for agri) and similar infra problems also bring down productivity at all levels.

I haven't seen it for years.
I assume they still need it (for the sake of their Hindu gods, use some electric ones), u know what their sanitation is, and that ridiculous toilet revolution, building toilets without sewerage.
