best way to learn about a country and it's people is to go there and immerse yourself in the culture.

Contrary to what Chinese media portrays , we Japanese actually Love Chinese people, and Chinese culture. If a Chinese person goes to Japan --- he or she will be heralded by a lot of curious smiles, and questions by many of us. We genuinely appreciate and admire China and Chinese people.

You got wrong. No media in China blames Japanese people, but Japanese government. And it has been always the official propaganda that ask us to view Japanese government and Japanese people separately since WWII. Most friends of mine who visited Japan had great impression about it and its people. That is true, but I really doubt that many Japanese "Love" China. It is just unrealistic, and different from the statistics of some investigation.

My sister have a great impression toward japan, Japanese people much friendly compare to Korean.. That's why I want to visit japan..
And to be honest a lot easier to make a friend with Japanese compare with Korean.
The Japanese somewhat just friendly..

Only a few Japanese hated Chinese ( in my opinion)

Again, hint that it is Chinese fault that hating Japan, hehe!

Find the trick very like that do by Japan government, Japanese is japanese!

In public, Japanese is very polite, don't show that to the world, all know, but can't cheat Chinese, we know what you are!
Chinese Idiom "衣冠禽兽“ is very suitabe for Japanese.

Were these Japanese soldiers not polite when they were in Japan, or in peace time?

Total tourist volume between China and Japan reached over 1 million in 2013 and hopefully the number will only continue to grow. China sends almost 900.000 tourists to Japan and receives almost 300.000 of Japanese tourists. I am sure that an overwhelming majority of these tourists leave the respective nations with great impressions and feelings of friendship and respect.

We repeat a millionth time: People are able to differ between government and people. Regular people should not get hooked up too much by conjectural geopolitical developments and mind their own business. If there were hostility toward Japan among regular Chinese, Japanese brands and popular culture would not be so popular.

Chinese media does not portray a bad image of the Japanese people, but often of the government. Most of these portrayals are realistic and bear on contemporary developments. Chinese are educated in school to differentiate between the imperial government and regular people when they learn about the long 20th century.

When a Japanese visits and ventures into the heartland of China, he/she only is greeted with warm welcome and his/her life is fully secured. I know same goes with Japan. The more people-to-people interaction, the more understanding. Regular Chinese may have a negative view of the Japanese government and its leadership, but, respect at peoples level is almost always maintained.

We also hope that the regular Japanese will not simply buy what is portrayed in Japanese media and by the leadership (who always have their own political agenda) and come and see for themselves what China is and who the Chinese are.
