exactly my point, there will be no military clashes at all. the status quo is in US favor , why risk a military confrontation when US OWNS the Pacific.

yeah but China don't want be a global ambitions like USA, and yes in few areas China is behind but in future 2030-2050 time frame they are on par with USA, China is already leave behind EU/Russia in term of military sophistication/weapon development
