China’s smartphone-makers shipped 71.1 million handsets in the third quarter, down 11.9% year-on-year as demand stayed weak, according to Friday data from International Data Corp. (IDC), a market intelligence provider.

However, the decline was narrower than in the previous two quarters of 2022.

“The gloomy circumstances and clouded outlook of the Covid policy in China are adding more uncertainties to next year’s market outlook,” said Will Wong, senior research manager for client devices at IDC Asia/Pacific.

So far there's nothing interesting on Android phones.

Pretty much my smartphone is just for doing everyday tasks, not interested in trying something new.

Or perhaps I'm getting old.

Lol

Chinese are being environmentally friendly and sustainable by not buying new electronics, idiots from the west are too dumb to understand Confucius philosophy.

Android, Windows 10, Windows 11. Nothing useful can be done on them. My Android tablets are useless entertainment devices. I don't do online banking on them. I will only trust up to Windows 8.1 to do sensitive stuff on the NET. Deepin Linux the only other OS where I don't mind divulging financial data.

Google and Microsoft can take a hike. Spyware infested shiet with no future or care from power users like me anyways...
